20th Wood-Technology Conference

The 18th annual gathering of the woodworking industry of Croatia and SEE region will be held on June 28 and 29 in Opatija. Since 2004, the conference summarizes the current situation on the market and connects participants from all over the Europe and SEE region.
Woodworking industry, despite ungrateful pandemic times, managed to maintain pre-crisis results. The whole forest-based sector has a fundamental role in the transition to a sustainable, green and carbon-neutral Europe.
Wood as a sustainable and natural material, capable of storing CO2, is in the focus of new EU policies. We are facing a comprehensive social, developmental and industrial redesign. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage the state authorities to react quickly and adapt to this upcoming transition.
The conference will be a place for a dialogue with policy makers. It will also cover the current topic of shortage of raw materials, as well as recent innovations and trends.
