The Great Success of the Conference: More Than 300 Participants and 70 Speakers From 14 Countries

Summary of the Opatija conference is more than satisfactory, was emphasized on Tuesday, May 31^st while adopting the conclusions of the meeting. Most of the present praised the quality and content of the meeting. A strong international character has enabled numerous inter-sectoral contacts and project initiatives. Participants confirmed that over 78 percent of them have already participated in the WTC and, compared to previous editions, this year’s is evaluated as the most successful. Numerous pre- and post-conference activities have greatly contributed to the success of this gathering. The entire event included over 300 participants and almost 70 speakers. Among the eminent international participants was also the Secretary General of the CEI Bois – European Confederation of Wood Industry, Mr Patrizio Antonicoli, who spoke about the important topics at the level of administration in Brussels, including the continuous process of sectoral lobbying which should soon result in taking all the influential positions of the forest-based industries in policies of the Brussels institutions.
